In recent light of a series of news and policies updates by the Chinese government, we plan to upgrade the network protocol for your personal privacy and information security.

Scheduled duration: 3 hours
Upgrade content: Security improvements, remove compatibility for legacy client app
Will this affect me?
This update will remove older network protocol support for the legacy client app, therefore it won't work anymore.
Windows: will not be affected.
Mac: ShadowsocksX (NOT ShadowsocksX-NG).
iOS: will not be affected.
Android: will not be affected.
My app is affected, what should I do?
If you're using the legacy client app on your Mac, please upgrade your Mac system to macOS Sierra (How to do that?) and install our latest App for MacOS.
You may experience intermittent network interruption during the scheduled maintenance timeframe, we'll add extend your accounts expiration date with 15 hours as a compensation (5 times the scheduled maintenance duration).
